We are a Dutch-Hungarian couple with a shared passion for personal finance, investing, and building a life where freedom matters more than a paycheck. To us, financial independence isn't simply about retiring early—it's about having the freedom to make choices based on what truly matters to us, rather than what our bank account dictates.

Our story began in 2013 when we met during an international training course through our employer. Since then, we've spent years travelling between the Netherlands and Hungary, experiencing different cultures, and building a life together. Along the way, we discovered another shared passion: finance. As we both work in the financial sector, conversations about investing, budgeting, long-term wealth, and financial planning are a regular part of our daily lives—especially for him, who could happily talk about investing for hours.

But financial freedom is about much more than spreadsheets, investment returns, and net worth calculations. It's about creating a life you genuinely enjoy. We love travelling, discovering new places, trying local restaurants, spending time with family, walking our dog, and simply enjoying the little things. Money, in our view, is not the destination—it's a tool that gives you more freedom, flexibility, and peace of mind.

Like many people, we didn't start with a detailed financial plan. We saved money, invested occasionally, and hoped things would work out. A few years ago, we decided to become intentional about our future. We set clear goals, created a long-term strategy, and started actively working towards financial independence. That decision completely changed the way we think about money.
