Welcome to our Barista Fire website! We’re a husband-and-wife duo passionate about investing, our dog and cat and trying achieve a life of financial stability and freedom so that our choices will not be limited by salaries.

We first met in 2013 ago at an international course through our employer, and from that moment our life of travelling between the two countries started . He’s Dutch (Cheesy), she’s Hungarian (Goulash), and together we’ve built a life filled with love, family and  travel. With both of us working in finance, money is a frequent (and favorite) topic of conversation—especially for him! From budgeting and investing to financial independence strategies, we never run out of things to discuss.

Beyond numbers, spreadsheets and dashboards, we share a deep love for traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures through food and drinks. Whether it's dining out at a local restaurant or indulging in a cozy night with our favorite takeout, we believe that financial freedom isn’t just about saving, numbers, interest, return on investment—it’s about having fun and enjoying life on your own terms.

Our goal is to share our story and struggles, our insights, our mistakes, and strategies to entertain but also help you achieve financial freedom.

 

We are ourselves started the journey a few years ago but without a plan or specific goal. Just like any dream, without any plan a dream will just stay only that, a dream. Last year we decided to start getting serious about our future.
